16 E&H funders from 10 countries and representatives of various stakeholders have joined forces and resources to help increase the relevance and efficiency of E&H research in Europe.

5 organisations have joined efforts to fund a Second Call for Transnational Research Projects on: “Air pollution in urban areas – health impacts on vulnerable groups under changing conditions". Deadline for letters of intent: 30 March 2012 at 16.00 Paris, France time.

Calls for transnational research projects
- 1st call on "Health vulnerability resulting from future climate change impacts on soil-water ecosystems, land use and water resources at regional scale". Launched in 2008. 2 projects funded.
- 2nd call on "Air pollution in urban areas - health impacts on vulnerable groups under changing conditions". Launched in January 2012.
